The CROSS COUNTRY roof top carriers
feature all electrically sealed seams for the most complete waterproofness available.
No exposed stitching means no chance for water to wick through needle holes at all.
Waterproof zipper guarantees no water penetration through the zipper.
A two-inch flap covers the zipper for increased weather protection. Heavy-duty buckles
and straps are tested to 600 lbs, to provide maximum safety. The aerodynamic shape
provides a quiet ride and fuel efficiency.

Specially Formulated Material
|
The material used
in the RoofBag carriers is 18-oz, heavy-duty tight-knit polyester fabric, coated
on both sides with a special vinyl formulation which allows our carriers to withstand the severe rigors of travel: extreme temperatures, beating by the wind, and continuous exposure to the elements: sun, rain, snow, sleet, sand or dust.
In addition the special vinyl formulation is UV-resistant so it won't fade or weaken with continuous exposure to the sun. The material is also mildew-resistant, so that nothing grows on it even if you store it wet for a year. And it is also fire retardant, so that in the event of a fire the bag itself won't help fuel the fire.
Because of our attention to quality we can guarantee our RoofBag carriers for 2 years: we use top-quality materials, we make the carriers right here in our own factory in San Diego, USA, and we have the confidence that you will receive a product that is fully waterproof, tough and durable for many years of enjoyment.

No-Stitching Manufacturing

The double-vinyl
coated polyester fabric used to manufacture the RoofBag carriers is heat-sealed at
the joints, using an advanced process called radio-frequency electrical welding.
This process joins layers of fabric without stitching.

Radio-frequency welding uses sophisticated equipment
that applies pressure to the pieces being sealed,
then applies a precisely measured high frequency electrical current to the area being welded.
